goals or something like them

It's raining, so it's nice to be indoors. I ran for 25min straight on the treadmill earlier, which I'm proud of accomplishing. I used to run 30 minutes straight with no problem a couple of years back, then I got bored of it and went back to weightlifting. Nothing can be fun forever, but it's nice when the interest returns. I've also gotten up at 6AM this week (on work days, mind you!) and gone to the gym in my condo to do some light elliptical work. My intention was to walk on the treadmill, as I'm always trying to get to the elusive 10,000 steps, but the treadmill is showing me an "error 15" message which I don't know how to fix. I never ever go on the elliptical in my community gym, so was a little miffed at first, but it does work up a gentle sweat and helps me wake up. When the treadmill's back, though, you bet I'm gonna get on that thing!

I have been trying not to purchase on Amazon and logged off of my partner's shared account months ago, but I placed a couple of orders this week for what I told myself were essentials, but that added up to almost $100! Yikes. I bought some ginger pills since everyone in this house has digestion issues, and I also bought some S. boullardi probiotic pills because my kitten has had diarrhea this week. I transitioned them to a new food (but from the same brand) so was a little surprised that she reacted this way. Hopefully she clears up soon since she is NOT a fan of me chasing her around with a damp towel to wipe her poopy bum! She meows so sadly in protest when I catch her!

My Goals right now:

  1. Try to eat more healthy (less than 15g of added sugar a day, which I try to keep to the morning since I like a sweeter coffee or breakfast)
  2. Exercise every day! (Running, weightlifting, yoga, walking, elliptical--just do something)
  3. Give the cats 30 minutes of playtime a day, even when I'm tired after work. They need to hunt as born predators and I need to keep them active, too!
  4. Drink once a week maximum ( this COULD look like half a bottle of wine, though, which I'm aware is technically "binge drinking" but jesus being sober constantly makes me feel like a bot person which is another issue but!!!)
  5. Get off my fucking phone!!! Saturdays and Sundays from 9-5 are going to be my new no-scroll hours and I'll turn my phone off (except when I'm at the gym as a little treat)
